OPEN CALL
Interdisciplinary art and research project PATINA / ПАТИНА
Together with Grupa arhitekata, and artist Mathias Weinfurter, Synnika
e.V. organizes the interdisciplinary art and research project PATINA /
ПАТИНА. During a 12-day journey in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and
Serbia, participants will visit around twenty antifascist World War II
and Holocaust memorial sites, and develop multidisciplinary
contributions that reflect on these memorials and the topic of
remembrance culture.
The contributions can take various forms, both documentary and artistic
– such as photography, texts, illustrations, performances, or
interventions. We invite applications from individuals based in
German-speaking countries and the Balkan region practicing visual and
performing arts, art history, journalism, design, social and historical
sciences, architecture, photography, or related fields. The working
language is English.
All costs for travel, accommodation, and meals will be covered by the
program. Additionally, we offer support in the development and
realization of the participants’ projects. Submit your application by
31.3.2025 via email to naomirado(a)synnika.space with the following
documents:
• Application form
• Curriculucm Vitae
